Democrats limit political dissent in Senate Health Bill

On page 1020 of the recently passed Senate Health Care bill, it makes it illegal to ever consider a bill that would eliminate “death panels” http://bit.ly/8ldPM9. Of course the term “death panels” is never used. I do not think that any sane person would put something in a bill that would create a panel whose sole purpose was to evaluate if someone should live or die. But that is not what I am talking about. The panel I am referring to is called the “Independent Payment Advisory Board,” which is a panel of bureaucrats charged with cutting health care costs. This panel would operate similar to NICE (the British Health Care Rationing Body). NICE is infamous for the outright banning of several types of important but costly drugs due to price concerns. Senate Health Bill Is a Violation of US Constitution

Senator Harry Reid’s Democrat super majority has been able to come to a consensus on the health insurance bill. This has not come without a steep cost. We will obviously pay dearly in new taxes and regulation, but there is something more. The Democrat Senate has used tax dollars to exempt Nebraska from sharing in the increased costs associated with their proposed health insurance plan. Other states, like Minnesota, will foot the bill for increased costs in Nebraska. The Senate devised this exemption specifically to get the vote of Ben Nelson, the lone Democrat that held out his vote due to the Federal funding of abortion.
