On page 1020 of the recently passed Senate Health Care bill, it makes it illegal to ever consider a bill that would eliminate “death panels” http://bit.ly/8ldPM9.

Senator Harry Reid’s Democrat super majority has been able to come to a consensus on the health insurance bill. This has not come without a steep cost. We will obviously pay dearly in new taxes and regulation, but there is something more.
The Democrat Senate has used tax dollars to exempt Nebraska from sharing in the increased costs [...]

The Republican Study Committee has come out with their own market based health care bill recently. It does not have a number yet because House Democrats are refusing to hear it.

Ronald Reagan once said “If you don’t do this, and I don’t do this, one of these days you and I are going to spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it once was like in America when men were free.” He was speaking of beating back socialized medicine, but the same could have applied to higher taxes, or any other issue we fight against. Government encroachment does not hold prejudice to one issue; it is an enemy to freedom wherever it exists.

This is a good speech by Mark Skogerboe on the sacrifices made by those who founded this country.
Listening to what these men went through, and what they gave up, makes me very proud to live in the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave!
